Beautiful Words

It is so absolutely amazing
to say those beautiful words,
and to hear them in return.
But then most wonderful part
is to feel them, to mean them.
To believe in them without
any hesitation, doubts, fears
or worries that it comes too soon,
because the heart does not know
the meaning of too early, or
is even concerned whether the
timing is right or wrong.
All it knows is what it feels,
and if two hearts share this
same path, then it cannot be
absurdity or craziness.
All it can be is right, and the
only thing that could be wrong
would be to deny it, to not follow
it where it may lead, at any speed.

And there is nothing I want more
now, than to relish each time
I hear those words, and mean it
with all my being when I say
them to you, and embrace you as
tightly, kiss you as deeply as I can,
and encompass love, the
romantic love, that I have always
dreamed of, the kind we only
thought existed in fairy tales.
But unlike the stories, we
will not focus on the ending, as
a happy ending cannot be.
Rather, we will focus on each
day spent together, each night
we fall asleep and each morning
we awake in each other’s arms,
treasuring every moment, in
that moment, as the present is
the best part of our lives.
