Chihuly Glass at Desert Botanical Gardens

In the third installment of photos from the Desert Botanical Gardens, here is the Chihuly: Nature of Glass displays that were interspersed with the desert landscape. They created a random, yet beautiful effect in contrast to the surrounding nature.

Wow–those are incredible…though they also look very breakable…. Do they bring them inside when there’s bad weather?

Chihuly glass is amazing. The sculptures in the desert complement the natural landscape.

Your shots are perfect for screen saver. The Chihuly are gorgeous and register naturally in the shots. They are as if part of the landscape. You can even make money out of this creation..

@Peter: Thanks!

@Regie: Thanks for the subscription. I hope you enjoy future posts!

@YogaforCynics: I’m not sure what they do during bad weather, especially with all of the strong winds we’ve been having lately. I have to imagine that they cover it up, because moving that glass must be a nightmare!

@WayneJohn: It’s ok… they are interesting displays in the middle of the desert.

@Stephane: Thanks!

@Carroll, Salwa, BingoLive, eye cosmetic: Thanks!

@LunchHourBytes: They are definitely better in person. It was hard to get all of them in photos where it displayed just how beautiful they are.

@Asad: Yes, at first we thought it was kind of random, but after seeing all the displays, it definitely made sense how they fit.

@rowenalee: There will definitely be more photography to come!

@Pozycjonowanie: They do look like candy, now that I think about it. Great perspective!

@JasonOne: I used one for my Twitter background actually. :)

@Kushmoney: Like an optical illusion! Especially with the sun gleaming through the glass.

@Sleigh Bed: Thanks!

Wow. That’s amazing art work! I was wondering where you got such a sweet background pic for your blog! By the way, I would like to use a high res pic on one of my blogs but I’m concerned that it’ll take a long time to load and turn into more pain than it’s worth. How did you keep the load time down?

Thanks for guiding to this page Kristi. I had no idea what your background was and I have never seen that botanical garden. Somebody (me) needs to take more time and smell the coffee.
