Preview for the week of 23 March 2009

* Next week, I’m going to throw a little my first attempt at sports photography into the mix with some shots I took of my fiancĂ© playing tennis. Depending on how my tennis elbow is feeling, I may get him to take a few of me too. I can tell you ahead of time, his technique is much better than mine. [Tennis Practice Photos]

* Is it possible to discover new interests, or even your passion in life, through blogging? To use blogging as a tool to keep your motivated toward your goals? To start up a blog with one desired outcome in mind, and have it develop into something more? [Discover Yourself Through Blogging]

Be sure to check back next week to find out more, and for another Fetchingly Friday post with more great discoveries on the web. Better yet, subscribe via RSS to have them delivered to your favorite subscription reader or by email.

I have finally found a few perks to the new Facebook layout. The News Feed allows you to comment and “like” friend’s activity right from the homepage. Plus I found a few applications that allow you to add some HTML right onto the front of your profile. Check out my profile, on the Wall, underneath friends. Unfortunately, I can’t seem to get the same app to post HTML on the Wall of my Facebook page – there, it only works under the Boxes tab.

Also, on the pages, there is a new (?) feature to add other pages as favorites on yours. So if you have a page, and want to add Kikolani as a favorite, click on the “Add to my Page’s Favorites” underneath the butterfly. :)

Hi Kristi,

“Give more by being selfish” is a great article. Its a unique idea where the writer think that the best gift to people is to take a proper care of ourself thus avoiding being burden to others and draining their resources. I’m quite impressed with his idea and thanks for sharing it.

Wishing you a great weekend.

Great articles Kristi – I think we always can infuse our lives with more inspiration!!!

As for blogging and passions – definitely!!! As we write we think of many new ideas, as we read and hear from others, we are opened up to whole new worlds, literally! So I know there is great potential there for everyone to find a new interest or area in their life that they would like to pursue more and all because of blogging :)

Excellent list. I always feel fortunate when I stumble across a post like this where I find something I need. Even if I didn’t know I needed it!

The Life Handbook is on my todo list.

@Eric: I think that everyone’s mind works in different ways, so you have to be on the lookout for a particular piece of motivation or inspiration that works for you.

@Jonathan: You’re welcome. I believe that when you find something that makes sense to you, you should share it and inspire others!

@Nutuba: You’re welcome!

@Zunnur: I also think it’s a great theory in the sense that once you have an abundance of fulfillment, you are able to share that with others and inspire them.

@Evita: That’s exactly what I’m going to write about this week, how blogging can bring new things into our world. :)

@Steve: I feel the same. You find something, and although you didn’t know you wanted to do it, you realize it is exactly what you need to do. :)

@Celes: I’m keeping up with your site as well.. the articles are always amazingly insightful!

I read the article on the 10 ways of making decisions less stressful and I have found that it is a lot easier to do when the decisions do not involve anyone else, especially if they want to put their two cents worth in. If it’s not important my reaction is, ‘whatever you think best’; if it is important I usually go with my gut feeling and try not to over analyze it. The best attitude to take is definitely, ‘don’t worry, be happy.’
