For those who may not know, I’m a huge fan of lightning, and this video captures a triple strike in Chicago beautifully, even slowing it down to 1/16th of the speed.

    Hi Kristi,

Your Blogging/Writing round up turns out to be my favourite. I am checking all that out. I did read Problogger’s resource list, but the links were not working last night. Need to check that out again right now.

Thanks for the wonderful wrap up – a good collection of resources in one place.

I know a lot of people are trying to make money off of Adsense Fred, and your tips may be the difference between what makes them successful or not. Thanks for sharing them!

Cloudflare isn’t the one that tells visitors that they might have a virus or something, right? That may be something else, or just an option, but I know that sometimes I run into sites that make me enter a captcha before I can actually visit them which is a bit of a inconvenience. I haven’t had a problem with yours so it must be an optional thing.

Cloudflare seems to be about performance and security. I don’t know exactly how it works for security but I’ve heard the performance aspect can really speed up a website. I opted to try it before going the route of a paid CDN.

Never ran into the captcha that needed to be entered before visiting – if that was the case I’d never use it. Perhaps it’s some kind of feature that can be enabled, but I don’t know that much on it at this point.

When setting up a new a record for a tumblr subdomain on nuwomb, it was really nice and easy since I utilize cloudflare too.

The big thing has been an increase in the speed of my site but I’m still kinda testing and learning. Hence, I love finding site speed optimization links from you :)

Another Friday, another set of links to check out. I’ve really begun to look forward to these, Kristi. Don’t ever stop. It’s helped me find some really cool bloggers, and you did all the searching for me. :) So thanks for doing this.

Lightning is one of the most spectacular natural events that just makes my jaw drop when the show is really, really good and the claps are loud. Awesome stuff…but to capture it like that and slow it down? That really brings out the beauty of it all, doesn’t it? Love it.

    Have an awesome weekend, Kristi!

Yeah, I’ve seen lots of lightning videos, but this one was done with a great camera with a higher frame rate per second – seeing it in slow motion is really amazing.

And don’t worry – I haven’t planned on stopping this series yet. I think it’s been two years now and I’ve only missed one to two editions. :)

Great list Kristi. Particularly enjoyed the article from webpagefx, it’s actually my first time to visit that site and they really have a slick web design.

Thanks for including my short post :) Been writing some super long posts recently but haven’t published any yet since I got out of the hospital. Anyway, I’m really glad that you’re sharing these resources, as I can still get up to date with the latest trends in the world of online media (it’s quite hard to be left behind when it comes to this business).
