If you haven’t already, stop by my new and improved Twitter page @kikolani. I finally have a custom Twitter background design. It’s pretty simple, with some text and links on top of one of my photographs. I believe that it works for everyone down to a 1280 resolution, but I may need to shrink it for those on the new, smaller 1024 resolution screens. What do you think?

Preview for the week of 20 April 2009

In continuation of the four-part photo series based on shots I took at the Desert Botanical Gardens, next week I will share the interesting photos of glass displays that were scattered throughout the desert landscape.

As many of you may know, I am going to be getting married on the 25th, and gone on my honeymoon for the following week. In preparation for this exciting time and week away from the internet, I am going to write about the ways I am vacation-proofing my blog and social networks. If any of you have any suggestions on how to vacation proof your blog and social media, I am more than willing to add them to my article and try them out – so please leave them in the comments below.

Be sure to check back next week to find out more, and for another Fetchingly Friday post with more great discoveries on the web. Better yet, subscribe via RSS to have them delivered to your favorite subscription reader or by email.

Sporty Humor

This is just something I have to share with you. My hubby sent this to me, and it is funny… ROTF LMAO LOL kind of funny for baseball, golf, and ESPECIALLY tennis fans.

Thanks so much for the link love Kristi. For some reason the post never received the trackback and the fact that I saw it shows how much attention I pay to your posts. It’s good to see that you are maintaining your week;y posting vigil, and I will continue to monitor it to make sure that you do. ;)

I’ll be sure to tune in for vacation-proofing your blog. I am not going on vacation but will be moving south to MS from DC and will be driving the 16 hours. I will also need time to get set up once I’m there so I’ll probably need a bit of a break.

I know others have collected submissions from other bloggers have done guest post series. This sounds like a good alternative for someone like you who has the following to receive submissions. Just say the word and I’ll submit a post for your consideration.

Congratulations on getting married! Mine was not too long ago, almost two years. What a happy day!

John Sullivan April 21, 2009 at 4:29 pm

I hope all the dust has settled over here
See you at the finish line

@Frank: You’re welcome.

@Jonathan: Isn’t it better to have too many things to read than not enough? I’m always happy for the opportunity to learn more. :)

@Kushmoney: I’ve notice that there tends to be blogging groups that all seem to travel through the same sites. Kind of neat that we all share the same interests.

@Salwa: You’re welcome!

@Peter: You’re also welcome.

@A Hot Bath: Thanks!

@nutuba: Thanks for the followup… they’re so cute!

@Sheryl: A little new reading to expand the horizons is always a good thing!

@Rahul: Glad you like the mashup!

@Dennis: Wait, I could get endorsements!?!

@Sire: You’re welcome. I try to use the trackback link, but sometimes it just doesn’t take in Wordpress. Not sure why that is, but glad to know you’re still keeping an eye on me!

@Extreme John: Thanks, although I really have to give credit to all the interesting people who provide the great content for me to link to!

@Hesham: Hope you find some great things!

@Madhur: Thanks!

@Melody: Thanks… and I look forward to following you as well.

@DS: I’ll do my best to have them up every Friday!

@Su Prieta: Definitely interested in guest posts, and good luck on that drive. I moved from MS to AZ, and I remember that was the longest drive… EVER. Hope you like the vacation proofing tips!

@John: Glad to see you’re back. Not on vacation… just did a lot of wedding stuff over the weekend, and then got a nice little stomach flu bright and early Monday which knocked me out for the next 36 hours. Catching up has been fun. It’s good to see you back blogging again! :)

@Karl: Yes, it’s part of an exhibit at the Desert Botanical Gardens. I’ll post the full pic next week! And you’re welcome… thanks for sharing articles with me!
