Freelancing

Personal Development / Productivity

Search Engines / SEO

Social Media / Social Networking

Who’s Going to BlogWorld New York?

It’s that time again! BlogWorld New York is happening June 5th – 7th. Get the best prices with early bird registration now through February 22nd! For those who don’t want to hoof it to the West Coast (Los Angeles), then this East Coast event is for you.

BlogWorld Expo is my favorite conference to attend to network with other bloggers. So far I have only been to the ones on the West Coast, but I’m *strongly considering* the trek out to NY which is coincidentally starting on my birthday. So if you are planning to go, be sure to get the best prices by registering now. Let me know if you’re going too!

Photo of the Week

This week’s top photo is from the snow covered Grand Canyon. Since it got chilly again here in Phoenix, I thought I’d post something wintry.

HDR Skies

If you’ve got a good Internet connection, blow this one up to full size. It’s worth it!

  1. My pack of goodies once again- thanks Kristi!

I love these awesome list of fetching Fridays- and the freelancing ones are the first to be checked during the weekend. I guess I really don’t have to hunt and look around, thanks to your wonderful list here itself!

Loved the wintry picture- it sure sends a chill down the spine!! And the wonderful warm sunny video below- nice contrast :)

  2. Hi Kristi,

I always look forward to your Friday roundups! I’m excited to be included in the list this time, thank you! :)

I love that picture too, it reminds me of the snow we had last month. It always seems odd to think about snow in Arizona but it did snow when I was at the Painted Desert one time.

    Have a great weekend!

  7. Great list as always.

Articles from Personal Development / Productivity part always motivate me so much.
Other links are great too. So much good reading.

But I do not like the Photo of the Week ;) . Last week we had so much snow in Europe, that I have enough of winter this year.
Seriously, I have had trouble to find my car, because all cars in the parking lot were covered with snow. Lots of snow! Few neighbors have similar cars to mine – not funny! ;) ,

  8. Kristi,
You never disappoint with your posts and you did it again. I however wondered if anyone spent time watching the HDR Skies video at the very bottom of your post. Simply magical (and I never thought I would ever use the word “magical” in my life ;-) )

  14. My larger site finally started showing the authorship boxes on Google search, but I haven’t noticed any huge increase in Google’s CTR. I thought the picture would make it look a lot more authoritative but it has almost no difference. People don’t seem to see the site as any more credible.

Nevertheless, I like Google’s auhorship tags now.

  15. Hi Kristi,

I’ve just read some of the posts – some really useful stuff. Thanks.

And thanks for mentioning my post too!

  18. I love the HDR sky video. HDR photography is one of my favorite hobbies so I am a little biased to that vs. the rest of the mashup. With that being said, I have a lot of reading to do! I learn something new every week in the SEO section which is my favorite.

  20. I’m just in the process of searching for good ideas and articles about Guest Blogging and I’m really happy that you posted a link to “The Ultimate Guide to Guest Blogging” in your Resources Mashup. This article on guest posting is absolutely fantastic – pretty much everything is explained: how to find blogs that accept guest posts, how to write a good bio box, how to find good post topics… and much more.

    Thanks a lot.

  23. Great collection of articles, one thing I would like to add that I think is missing – WordPress security :-)

I apologize if it doesn’t fit the overall list but due to the nature of our business we have to work with a lot of clients who use WordPress blog as primary publishing platform and have no clue how to defend their site. Considering that in last few weeks we have seen a spike in hack attacks against our own blog network – I think it is essential people are aware of the importance security has on their blog.

After all – all the marketing, social, etc makes no differences if your blog is owned by some script kiddie!
