Thanks. It seems like I have been busy guest posting, but both my articles were written earlier and just coincidentally posted in the same week. It was fun that they were both Twitter related though!
Thanks so much for including my post under WordPress. I find that many bloggers aren’t aware of the differences between free hosted wordpress.com blogs and free software installs from WordPress.org for self hosting. They don’t comprehend the security risks involved in blogging on a multiuser blogging platform and therefore don’t understand why there are restrictions on the code we can use on wordpress.com blogs. Consequently, many newbies expect to be able to upload plugins and have social bookmarks automatically appear on each of their wordpress.com blog posts when they can’t.
Well, necessity is the mother of invention and the open source community is full of innovators who have come up with useful workarounds, so I am happy you are helping me get the word out. Yes, wordpress.com users can have social bookmarks but it does take a little coding on each post to accomplish this.

People do get the self-hosted WordPress and WordPress.com blogs confused easily, but they both have their purposes. If you are not into the customization and plugins like I am, WordPress.com is perfectly fine. If you need personalized branding and full features + control, self-hosted is the way to go. I have seen lots of people start on WordPress.com and successfully either thrive there or move to a self-hosted with not that much trouble, so it never hurts to start on the .com and just move up. Thanks for providing the resources for those on the .com site!
Hi,
This are great posts one cannot just finish at a time, I just bookmarked and will come back for a re-read gradually.

If you’ve used TweetDeck also, I’d love a side-by-side.

I used it a little bit. I liked Tweetdeck feature wise, but it is something you have to install on your local machine, and since I float between at least 2 PC’s and a Mac, it wasn’t as convenient. HootSuite became my choice simply for being accessible online without any installations, and since then, I have found lots of great uses for it!

OK If I don’t care about it being on my computer or not, would you say TD is better “feature wise”?
Also, if you are REALLY versed in HS, I’d LOVE a guest post review type thing.

Hey Kristi, I’m going to have to start calling you Wonder Woman I reckon, not only do you have the looks but you have the fortitude to continue putting out great content as well as keeping up with the Fetching Friday Series. As you know I don’t have the time to check out all these links and I usually only choose one, well today I’ve chosen the one from TimeThief

Thanks! The Friday series is actually my easiest thing to keep up with, now that it has become routine. Between keeping up with a lot of great bloggers through some Twitter Lists and having mutual subscriptions on StumbleUpon, I have a great selection to choose from in every category.
