Man that Matt Cutts video made me a wee bit dizzy holy shmoly. I guess I was expecting a bit more from him, none the less it was a bit funny. The photo of the week reminds me of Airwolf which mention the Arizona desert often. This shot surely looks like a scene from the TV series. A long time ago I know, oh the good old days!

Kristi,

Another great collection of links! I must say though I didn’t expect the Matt Cutts video to end with a piano playing cat. ;)

Thanks for sharing and the time to put this great list together every week,

Kristi,

I am planning on going to BlogWorld this year, even if it’s quite a trip for me, but I am somehow stuck with the ticket that I should get.

Should I get a “Full Access Pass” or a “2-Day Blogger and Podcaster Pass”? What’s your personally experience with this?

I should also mention that I am planning this primarily for networking. Oh, and see Sonia Simone on stage. :)

Thanks!

Hi Eugen,

It really depends on what you’re there for. There’s usually a strong lineup of sessions on Thursday. Friday and Saturday are the days that the majority of people will be there, some with expo only passes so they can hang out in the exhibits and just network. I signed up for just the 2-day pass for Friday and Saturday, although I’m considering maybe switching to Thursday and Friday and making Saturday an expo only because I remember that last year I was no longer able to really focus on the sessions by the third day – two days in a row was good enough. Not that the sessions were bad (before I arrived I had picked about two sessions per time slot), but there’s only so much learning I can handle. :)

Anyway, if you’re looking mainly to do networking, Friday & Saturday are the prime days to be there as those are the main days. But if there’s anyone in particular you want to meet up with, just ask them when they’re going. That should make you pretty confident in your choice. :)

You’re welcome! Yes, I think I’d love a place like that to getaway from the city, maybe for a week or two here and there, or several months to just focus on being with nature. Definitely would be the perfect change of scenery!

Certainly! I’m planning on spending my month of October in Idaho, on a friend’s acerage/horse ranch. With minimal work, and striving to heal myself. I’m looking forward to it for many reasons! This photo definitely makes me even MORE excited. ;)

Matt has been releasing videos on many evils (according to Google) that his anti-spam team has to face — but in reality his team has failed terribly in doing so. For example they had to issue a public notice recently over how an irritant SEO/SMM expert made Google’s own local address (Mountain View) as a closed/relocated address!!

Anyway – cat & mouse (Tom & Jerry — Tom=Google, Jerry=SEOs whatever their classification is!) game will always continue as nobody will yield an inch of ground as they ply their trades for their own benefits!

PERIOD. :)

Fun and exciting every time your Fetching Friday comes, lots of nice article reading over the weekend when I take the laptop with me on the beach instead of a book if the waves is too small. I like everything about SEO and social media and you’ll find really raisins in the cake in the blogosphere.

Hello Kristy. I caught that ‘little button’ post and found it quite interesting. Nice touch with the LO Cats where in Matt Cutts video. Wonder how they got ‘em to do that? Seems like an animation.

Wow! I love that Matt Cutts video. It made me notice just how similar Matt’s voice has stayed over the years.

I also enjoyed the dress-to-impress article. Not only will it get other people to take you more seriously but it will give you more self confidence. I know people who dress up for phone interviews just because they believe it’ll change their speaking style. (And even if it doesn’t – it’s still a positive placebo effect.)

I love the post about LinkedIn. I think its’ being disregarded by plenty of bloggers because of the popularity of Facebook and Twitter. While they are not at fault for focusing on connecting with people who might buy their products or services, disregarding their professional network is not the way to go if one’s goal is nothing short of massive success.
