Fetching Friday – Resources Mashup, Related News and Ally McBeal

by Kristi on October 9, 2009 · 27 comments · Fetching Friday

This post is part of a weekly series, Fetching Friday, featuring the resources mashup, Ally McBeal, and related news at kikolani.com.

The Resources Mashup

Here are some of the best articles I have stumbledupon this week.

Blogging

Business / Finance

Graphic / Web Design

Personal Development / Self Improvement / Health

Photography / Digital Art

SEO / Tech

Social Media

The Last, but not Least

Related News

Not much in the week in review, as I have been working on hard on revising my portfolio. When I originally created it, I was really into the single page designs, but now I want to expand it to inlude more information and a blog on freelancing and the services I provide. Hopefully, the new design and content will be complete next week.

Ally McBeal

For any Ally McBeal fans who haven’t heard, the long awaited complete series DVD collection has just been released. I absolutely loved this show, especially the romance between Ally and Larry in the 4th season. So if you loved it, get the Ally McBeal: The Complete Series for yourself, or for me.

This show also introduced me to Josh Groban. I had never been a fan of vocal / classical music until I heard this guy’s voice on Ally McBeal.

Lots of great stuff to dig into. The Joomla vs. Wordpress article is very interesting. I haven’t really dug into Joomla much but have been hearing more about it. Thanks for the great links and resources.

Very much enjoyed that blog carnival post – been a while since I participated in one, and it was great to be reminded of the fact I should give it a try sometime soon.

I also liked the urban decay photographs; my favorite photographer is Shannon Doubleday, http://www.existention.org – her stuff engaged the theme of decay like nothing else when I first encountered it.

Still going through these links…

That’s a huge list of resources, especially the 30 wordpress plugins. I find that no matter how many I find, another useful one always pops up somewhere. My blog is probably a bit too focused on the flash games industry for you to list in these, but I did write an article recently about being your own boss that could be useful to everyone, even outside the industry. Nice list of resources, keep up the very nice work.

Kristi, I am always wondering about this war between ‘Joomla/WordPress’ or ‘WordPress/Blogger’. Life is already complicated and I am for simplicity so simply people can try everything then go for what matchs them, as simple as that. Of course, nice FF and I wish you success on updating your portfolio!

I’ve just stumbled across the Fetching Friday concept you have running here – what a great idea! :)

Particularly like the “7 ways to have a successful social media profile online” topical stuff.

Now wading through previous Fetching Friday posts in search of more goodies.

Great stuff, keep it up!

just found your Fetching Friday this is a lots of good links. I even can’t read that much in my 2-3 hours a week available to my “free” internet reading. I should at least retink the risk as your link about that say’s it’s probably not where I see it.
