Thanks to some good suggestions by Robert Barr of Big and Tall Clothing blog, I have made some subtle updates to the ads around this site and at oes tsetnoc as well. Although I do love blogging for the sake of blogging, I also would like to at least make enough income from the sites to cover the hosting and domain costs, as most bloggers would.

Week in Review

This week’s post is for bloggers – what is your favorite part of blogging? It’s interesting to see the mix of how many bloggers are more into the actual blog writing and content vs. the other aspects like social media marketing and SEO. It was also good to see some bloggers who enjoy different aspects, depending on the day, which is how I am.

Voyage dans notre Galaxie

A beautiful short movie by Frédéric Tapissier of the galaxy. On this same site, you can find the amazing photos stitched together of the Milky way taken with a Nikon D3 digital camera.

Great Galaxy video. Loved the feeling of moving through space. Another excellent collection of links and resources. I’ve only had a chance to get through a few items so far and found the Blog Commenting and High PageRank post especially interesting. Can’t wait to dig into the rest this weekend. Thanks for the helpful weekly roundup.

To be honest, I have never really worried about Alexa, but having a high alexa rating can be a great tool if you are selling your site.

I enjoyed that article on Indexing, because I have been having a lot of trouble getting it indexed how I would like and the article provided a nice overview of how things work. I am fairly certain the theme was causing a big part of the problem and made a number of changes to it this week, because even though it is getting crawled/indexed, it isn’t happening the way it should…

I read the Post on How to Increase Alexa Rankings? But as per my Best Opinion Alexa is crap as it can’t trace Number of Visitors accurately for Sites without Alexa Toolbar. :( I must say Alexa must provide Hidden Tracking Code, so that we can insert the code in Site/Blog Footer or Header, instead of displaying that Crappy Alexa Ranking Box 😐

For Me Google Analytics is the Best :)
