The article on how Twitter is changing was very interesting. It just goes to show that businesses cannot rely on just one channel of social media for their social media marketing efforts. Yes Facebook is trying to monetize by promoting posts and Twitter may follow suit. That doesn’t mean that businesses need to pay each time they want their posts seen, it just means they need to have a good social media strategy in place that continually adds new content across a variety of platforms.
True. I use Facebook Promoted Posts, but I’m really thinking it’s not all that helpful. My most popular promotion reached 88K people but only received 77 likes. Not 77K – just 77.
