I see a fault with the the blog post about organizing a messy sidebar. Remember that as of 2007, making a link ‘nofollow’ doesn’t mean that you can sculpt pagerank with it. You’re not voting for the linked-to site, but your other links won’t get more link juice. That link will still decrease the value of other links on your page (as pagerank going to each linked page is distributed among all links, not just dofollowed links).
Matt Cutts wrote an article on this and I have a picture somewhere in one of my blog articles. It just gives you something to think about in addition to that article

Hi Kristi,
I thought the article by Rand Fishkin on proving trust on the web was a really good one. So many people simply focus on driving traffic to their website or blog but don’t think about what is going to happen once users arrive. If you have a site that users distrust then you will be fighting an uphill battle.
Kristi,
Very nice.. Thank you so much for sharing this to us!
It perfectly shows shows how beautiful nature is. I wish I could see those with my own eyes.
Can’t wait next Friday!
