Here is the second part of the Desert Botanical Gardens photo series. These are some of the beautiful flowers that I photographed throughout the park.

Just in case you missed it, there are more flowers in the first part of this series – blossoming and oddly shaped cacti photos.

Those are beautiful followers, aren’t they?

It’s the best season in Arizona. Summer is coming. There will be more followers in Summer. BTW, you really can take some nice photos!

You just made me want to visit there too. Planning …

I remember my mother dragging me to the botanical gardens all the time. No offense, but for a boy under 10 passing his friends playing football….yea it “dragging”. lol

Now of course I think they’re beautiful!

I have always enjoyed the flowers in Arizona.
The Mojave Desert has non stop action for a photographer.
You can set your tripod up and never have to move it and capture thousands of amazing images.
Thanks for sharing your photos and story, good work.

hey Kristi,
I love spring wildflowers. Great shots!
And I think I see a Californian Poppy, so I guess they aren’t just in California.

If you ever make it to Florida, you should go to The Bok Tower, http://www.boktowergardens.org/ I just went a week and a half ago, and beyond the amazing landscape, scenery and paths; they’ve got flowers to view as well. Good post!

@Smart Local Shoppers: Thanks. You should definitely visit… Desert Botanical Gardens has a lot to offer. I still have two more posts coming with more pictures.

@YogaforCynics: I couldn’t get a great shot of them for some reason, but there were purple with tiny blue flowers in certain areas. I don’t think I’d ever seen royal blue flowers before.

@Evelyn: Thanks, and you’re welcome.

@Dennis: I didn’t enjoy this kind of place when I was younger either, mostly because I was terrified of all the bees. It’s nice to be older and appreciate it more (even though I’m still scared of the bees).

@Eric: Thanks!

@Jason (my hubby): Yes, I’m sure you will enjoy having your own photo post of me taking the pictures. Thanks for making your commenting debut on my blog. I <3 you!

@Tom: Thanks. First I have to get a dependable tripod. :)

@Trade show guru: Thanks. Yes, the gardens definitely had lots of flower variety. Next time I’ll have to do a better job at writing down which ones are which to identify them later.

@Irtiza104: Yes, glad to see you back in the blogging world. If you like butterflies, just wait. There are two more posts of photos, one of which will be dedicated to butterflies.

@GregR: Yes indeed. They are very beautiful to walk through and enjoy.

@David: Yes, these gardens about less than half an hour away from my house. We (my hubby and I) went two weekends ago.

@Ciphun: That place does look absolutely wonderful, and I’ve never heard of it before. Thanks for sharing.

Those are some great shots. I think the cactus ones on the other page were my favorite though. I have never been to Arizona, but I spent some time in Utah, which I think has a similar kind of landscape, well at least in some places. While I was there, I used to love to go hiking in the mountains, because it offered such a different kind of sparse environment than I was used to. I never took any photos though :(

@Dennis: Yeah, but it’s worked out. I’m a lot calmer around bees than I used to be.

@Gert: Thanks!

@Extreme John: They did come out vibrantly due to the sunlight that day.

@Eren: Thanks!

@Steve: The cacti are unique in the sense that most people wouldn’t think they blossom like that unless they saw it. There are places I’ve been before I got into the photo kick that I wished I had pictures of too. The best supplement for that is to look up those places on Flickr and see what others have photographically found.

@people: Thanks!

Even if they are not as beautiful as these” common” flowers, they still make me feel full of energy! Each time seeing them, I feel my life should be changed, or challenged much more!
