Even if they are not as beautiful as these” common” flowers, they still make me feel full of energy! Each time seeing them, I feel my life should be changed, or challenged much more!

@Dennis: Yeah, but it’s worked out. I’m a lot calmer around bees than I used to be.

@Steve: The cacti are unique in the sense that most people wouldn’t think they blossom like that unless they saw it. There are places I’ve been before I got into the photo kick that I wished I had pictures of too. The best supplement for that is to look up those places on Flickr and see what others have photographically found.

Those are some great shots. I think the cactus ones on the other page were my favorite though. I have never been to Arizona, but I spent some time in Utah, which I think has a similar kind of landscape, well at least in some places. While I was there, I used to love to go hiking in the mountains, because it offered such a different kind of sparse environment than I was used to. I never took any photos though

@Smart Local Shoppers: Thanks. You should definitely visit… Desert Botanical Gardens has a lot to offer. I still have two more posts coming with more pictures.

@YogaforCynics: I couldn’t get a great shot of them for some reason, but there were purple with tiny blue flowers in certain areas. I don’t think I’d ever seen royal blue flowers before.

@Evelyn: Thanks, and you’re welcome.

@Dennis: I didn’t enjoy this kind of place when I was younger either, mostly because I was terrified of all the bees. It’s nice to be older and appreciate it more (even though I’m still scared of the bees).

@David: Yes, these gardens about less than half an hour away from my house. We (my hubby and I) went two weekends ago.
