Fountain Park in Fountain Hills, AZ is the home of what was once the tallest fountain in the world, according to Guinness Book of Records. Not only is it one of my favorite places to visit when I am in need of a relaxing visit with nature, but it also holds very special memories, as this is the place where my fiancé and I had our first date and got engaged.

It’s been too long since I’ve been out to Fountain Hills to see this fountain. I love the photo of you and your fiance; great shot! You have a knack for different angles to your photos. The one of the duck is cool.
This is stunningly beautiful! Looks great!

Great pictures!
The duck is adorable! Plus it’s a very well done picture. Congrats.
Just got here from ur comment on other blog. And now I love that I did.
Superb Shots. There is nothing that isn’t remarkable
1. Lovely Location
2. Super Clear Shots
3. The couple – Made for each other
The video of the fountain in Fountain Hills is pretty impressive, how high does the water shoot. It would look beautiful lit up in the night.
Where is Fountain Hills? Is it in Phoenix? I’ve never seen it before – it looks lovely. Oh – do you know where the water comes from?

@Debbie: Thanks. I had seen this duck on my last three visits to the park… it was like he was asking to be photographed.
@Nutuba, AK: Thanks.
@John: I don’t know about video streaming, but we are definitely recording it. Maybe I’ll do a highlights video for Youtube.
@Odzyskiwanie: I had several shots of him, but this one was definitely the most interesting.
@Treatment: I’m glad you enjoyed the visit, and the photos.
@khaled: On a clear, windless day, when they are using all three engines (normally, they only use two), it can go up to 560 ft.
@Kim: Fountain Hills is East of Scottsdale. You can get there by taking the 101 to Shea and then going East for about 15 minutes. I believe they use reclaimed water for the fountain and the lake.
My favorite picture is the one with that duck, or it’s rather a goose?
Kikolani the photos are great. Congrats for the engagment again

@smashill: I think it’s a duck, but it could be a goose. There is a mixture of both out at the park.
@Hicham: Thanks!
@Gennaro: It is definitely both, and I’m so happy that was the place he chose for our special dates.
@Harvey: It certainly seems that way.
@Nightfall: It has taken years of practice, and I’m still learning new things about photography every day.
It’s nice to see photos like that. It’s still cold here in Michigan so it’s like seeing what’s ahead in the coming months.

That is where I wish I was right now rather than working in my cold basement. I think it would be the ultimate relaxation time, as I have been very stressed out lately. Superb Shots 10+
hi Kristi,
“The Aflac Duck’s Cousin.” LOL. I love your sense of humor!
Those commercials have always made me laugh.
What a beautiful park. I’ll be sure to check it out the next time I’m in Arizona. I’d love to get back and see the Grand Canyon.

@Brian: Glad I could bring you a little warm weather visual.
@Cleanse Colon: Actually, when I am stressed, I go out and take a walk around the park. Even just a half hour out there makes me feel nice and relaxed again.
@Steve: I love the Aflac duck, and when I saw this one, it just made me think about those commercials. And yes, if you have time, you should definitely visit the park and see the fountain in person. Especially in the evening.
We lived in Fountain Hills for two years, it was great! You know on St. Patty’s Day they turn the Fountain Green!! http://www.youtube.com/FountainHillsJournal
Lil Boo loved rolling down the hills and chasing the ducks!! Plenty of good times.

@daddy bookins: You know, I didn’t check the news about the events, and I assumed the fountain would be green all day on St. Patty’s. I really wanted to record it for Youtube, but now I’ll have to wait till next year.
