@Tony: You're welcome. I figure there is nothing to lose by letting go of reality for a little while, because the problem will never be solved if we cannot see the solution through a cloud of negativity.

@Skip: That is true. Sometimes just getting a step ahead is a great energy builder & motivator. Good advice!

I liked your post and it made me think about this:

In my coaching and training of salespeople and sales managers, i often see people waiting for motivation to hit them before they take action.

So, I often suggest this: Take action even if you aren't motivated! Take SOME action...any action...toward a goal. Some action is better than no action, and taking action often has a way of creating motivation as a by-product. Action breeds action! Action breeds motivation!

It seems we feel and go about things in life in a similiar fashion. I wrote a post titled "Another Crossroad in my Life" that is similiar to this post. Often times many things happen in one setting and we feel overwhelmed, but like you said as hard as it is, we should step out of reality a bit and push those problems aside. The more we look at the problem with another set of eyes, we are better able to understand it and have a possible solution. Thank you for this post!

@Haroun - Stepping outside of our comfort zones is a great way to help ourselves grow. I have done a lot of things outside of mine recently, and each thing has affected other areas in my life in positive ways.

@ Michelle - You are welcome. :)

Thanks for this post. I was reading something similar in the book, Body for Life yesterday, and it included something that I too believe in.

Challenges are what make us grow, when we are living in our comfort zones, we stagnate and we don't grow. And its how we respond to the challenges that make us reach into the depths of our being and access a deep inner strength and push our way to a greater realisation of who we are.

I'll buy that, currently I'm going through a little health issue, I've been for minor surgery to remove the root of my tooth from my sinus. I'm not in any great pain, but the bone beneath my left eye has been cut and I can feel that part of it as mush at the moment, lots of regeneration taking place, but this incident has spurred me to eat really health, and take care of myself in a way I have never done before in my life.

Anyway, I was just seeing that you were on my blog while I was too, and I wanted to visit and share some comment love with you :)

Oh and by the way, I still can't seem to subscribe to your blog via feedburner's email. Its not working at the moment, but I'll periodically stroll by until it does :)
