What a big giant tree ! Or what a small house !

It’s so interesting when you put things in such perspective.

Dows any one live there ? The lawn looks so untended !

I love it. Makes me want to go inside and explore!

Hi Kristi,
Why don’t you add some words for the photos? :)
If you visit my blog, then you’d see that I love to see different point of view / perspective of a picture.

And this photo of yours.. I just may ended up with another short story.

The tree looks like a giant octopus that is rising up to attack the house and grab it with it’s tentacles. Very interesting tree.

I’ve never understood the whole nofollow thing. People want you to comment on their blog, giving them free content, but are unwilling to give you something in return. Smacks of selfishness to me!

Wow, that’s weird. I wonder why people are leaving their house like this. Anyway, the picture is great. I love abandoned houses… Picture of the inside of the house would make even greater pics! ;)

Even with an abandoned look it feels lovely. Usually abandoned houses (i’m not sure if this is one) look sinister even in daylight. This is so inviting. Great picture.

@Jaffer: No one lives in the house, that I know of. I loved the contrast of the tree with the house.

@Vered, MrMuggles: I wanted to go inside and explore too. But the house is owned by someone next door. That and a group of dogs surprised me while I was taking pictures. They turned out to be friendly country dogs, but they still gave me quite a scare when they came running at me.

@Aldhis: While I do like to write my thoughts with photos, I sometimes like to just see how other people interpret and feel about them. :) If you do write a short story based on the photo, feel free to use it in your post, and I’ll link to it from this one.

@Political Disgust: It does look like the tree could reach over and consume the house at any moment.

@Stuart: I think some people just don’t know about it, or they are not technical enough to do the modifications to their blogs. Plus there is the fear that you will get hit with a lot of spammers enabling the DoFollow. I actually get 100+ spam comments daily. But I do appreciate all the commentators, and like giving them the reward of backlinks. :)

@yaseench: Thanks!

@Vishal: It is owned, but no one lives in it anymore. I kind of hope someday, someone will take the time to bring this house back to life again.

I almost forgot… I filmed a bit of the house and its surroundings. I added the link to the Youtube video in the post. :)

Kinda makes you wonder what a bit of TLC would do to the area. Imagine fixing up the house, a manicured garden and a white picket fence. I reckon it would transform the picture. With those branches your could even add a swing.

I agree with aldhis, that you should always add a description to photos, if for no other reason than for its SEO advantages.

@Dennis: Yes. I’d like to think that this house has a story of a happy country family that lived in its walls.

@Sarah: I guess it does give off that vibe. Especially in the video.

@Irtiza: Thanks!

@Sire: There is an alt tag description for the SEO purposes. :)

@lem: I am more of a nature photographer. Landscapes, sky, animals, etc. I will definitely visit your site!

Nice thought Kristi, but as it stands, it looks a little Stephen King-ish. :)
