This weekend, my fiancé and I took a trip to Sin City – Las Vegas. Over the course of the week, I will be posting a series of photos of our favorite spots. Today’s selection is from the drive between Phoenix and Vegas.

I went to Hoover Dam back in 1991 when I was in the States. What an amazing man made structure it is. Very imposing.

The drive there from Phoenix is always a nice one. Though, after making the journey so many times, I now prefer flying there if the rates are right;)

Kristi, you’re a great photographer! The scenery looks very familiar to me as the hubby have driven there many times. I’m so glad you had a fun time on your trip. And keep posting pics; I’ll check back!

Amazing, you went to Sin City and I took my family to Sydney. Your destination was full of casinos and mine only had one. The only other similarity is that we both had a good time and we both took heaps of photos, that we both will be posting on our respective blogs

Wow, great photo of the Hoover dam – it’s such an impressive structure
@Jen, Andy: Yes it is. My fiancé didn’t think much of it until he was looking right over the edge straight down. That view always gives me a bit of vertigo.
@Shanker: Thanks. I always try to get the shots of things I find breathtaking.
@Dan: I’ve been wanting some photos of fall colors for awhile, and I had to pit stop to get these, behind a Long John Silvers, oddly enough.
@Justin: For a solo trip, it makes sense to fly. For me & my fiancé, the gas was much less than two tickets. Plus we got to listen to a lot of Harry Potter along the way, which was fun.
@Debbie: Thanks! I hope you’ve enjoyed the pictures for the week. One more post to get the miscellaneous shots will be coming tomorrow.
@Dennis: You should go back… it’s much more fun as an adult!
@Mike: We couldn’t make it for a show this trip. But we plan on it next time. We did see Cirque du Soleil in Prescott a few weeks ago, which was quite fun.
@Sire: Your photos of Sydney are amazing, especially the fireworks!
@Ben: I do my best to enjoy life, and to capture the best moments in photos.
Keep up the great work
Those are some wonderful pictures. I love traveling in the fall when all the colors are changing. Without a doubt my favorite time of the year.
@Best Trends Blog: I will do my best!
@Taylor: Definitely. I missed my first opportunity at fall colors when driving through Prescott without my camera, so I had to make up for it on this trip.
