Meet Our New Kitten Natasha

by Kristi on September 28, 2009 · 18 comments

Last weekend, while my hubby and I were out doing some shopping for our furry friends at Petsmart, we met found something we were not expecting. Petsmart has an adoption center for cats and dogs that need a good home. He called me over to look at one particular kitten. She has a huge resemblance to our Merlin that we lost last month. So much so that I burst into tears when I saw her.

We went home, mostly so I could put myself back in order again. Then we went back to Petsmart, and half an hour later, brought home this new little bundle of joy. Since she’s so small, I’m breaking her into my photographing ways slowly. But here are some candid shots of our new kitten named Natasha.

If you’re stuck looking for something to write about on a particular day, a problem I refer to as Blogging Writer’s Block, Google Trends is the way to go. It not only helps jog your mind with new ideas on what to write about, but it also helps you find the most popular topics of the day in terms of keyword usage that will (hopefully) propel your latest article to the top of the search engines.

So today’s experiment with Google trends (and breakthrough of my writer’s block) will be about some related Apple news (#9 on Google Trends) – my new iPod (#29).

A few days ago, I miraculously found a 2 year replacement warranty for an iPod I bought in September of 2007 – miraculous because I had totally forgotten I purchased it, and the warranty was 15 days from expiring.

For the most part, I am a very positive minded person. But I think everyone has days where things just seem demotivating. Instead of fighting it today, I am going to embrace it with somewhat humorous Demotivators posters from Despair.com.

My Grandmother

This is a photo of my grandparent’s wedding in Japan in 1957. They had quite a love story. It began quite humorously with my grandfather making the mistake of giving her a friendly smack on the behind, which ended with him finding himself on the floor after my grandmother decked him.

Getting Back On Track

by Kristi on September 12, 2008 · 6 comments

When life throws challenges our way, it’s easy to get off track in terms of our goals. Just like a true champion will persevere and go on to win a game despite a setback, a successful person will get back on top of things once the obstacles have passed.

Say It, Right Now

Do you ever have times when you think about calling someone just to say hello? Maybe you have an online friend that you want to write a message. But something comes up, or too little time becomes a factor, and you never say what you want to them. Now is the time to change that.
