I started my first personal blog back in 2008 and that failed miserably. I didn’t give up though, I then started Ask Aaron Lee, my second blog in 2010 that has survived up to this day. I’ve been around the block for quite some time now and phew! It’s been quite the ride. That blog has been featured on

I’ve also had the opportunity to work on brands and startups blogs as well. Some grew to over a million unique visitors a month.

1. Buzzsumo
Buzzsumo is a must have tool for any blogger if you want to take your blog to the next level.
Buzzsumo lets you find and analyze the most popular content on the web determined by social shares on Facebook, Pinterest, Google+ etc.
There are two ways you can use Buzzsumo. While I already have a paid version of the app, the free version of the app can get you started just as well.
- Method 1: Search other blogs
The first method is my favorite. All you have to do is simply key in any blog in your industry or your competitors’ blogs. This shows you their best blog post ranked by the number of shares it gets.
You just found GOLD here.
Copy those blog posts or titles into a list. You can use the list as inspiration for your blog posts or simply write something similar. Chances are, those blog post will perform well for your blog as well.
