Back From Vacation

As with all good things, my vacation time has come to an end and I have just returned home from sunny Melbourne to an unusually chilly Arizona. Also to note, I compiled this list while fighting the late stages of serious jet lag.

Overall, it was an absolutely amazing trip from which I’ll be sharing more of in photos and video, once I’ve had time to start going through somewhere around 90GB of media. I will share this fun shot from the Melbourne Zoo for starters though.

Melbourne Zoo Close Encounters Kangaroos
Me and My Hubby Jason with the Kangaroos

This was our first of many wildlife experiences. I like to think it was breaking us in gently, as later in the trip we went to several free range wildlife parks and got even more up close and personal with kangaroos, wallabies, koalas, emus, alpaca, and more!

One of the facts of life that turned out to be highly refreshing about this trip was that I had limited access to Internet, and when I did have it, it was mostly at the end of the day to check on the next day’s weather forecast. So for those who have contacted me through Twitter, Facebook, email, comments, etc. that I haven’t gotten back to, just know that I’m working through everything as fast as I can. Once I get some sleep. 🙂

Hey Kristi,

Welcome back from vacation.

I love the Social media resources. Especially that facebook post by Social Mouths.
I’m hearing many good things about list Eruption Plugin. Will going to check it out.

Thanks for sharing this great resources.

Kristi, the photo is great. Those are different kangaroos than the ones I saw in Cronulla but there are several different breeds, methinks. Oh you look so happy. Wildlife in Australia is great, the jet lag not so much and thanks again for a fantastic Fetching Friday and for including prolific living….I am thrilled to meet the bar to be included here in Kikolani. Get some rest!

Kristi, it looks like you and the hubby had yourselves a great vacation. My partner and I are planning on doing Europe this autumn, and for our next vacation, she wants to go to New Zealand and Australia.

Looking forward to more pics!

Thanks for STILL finding the time to compile these great resources Kristi! – Especially appreciate the social media links there – will have to look closer at some of them 🙂

I also say well done on inadvertently coming to the only part of Australia that was not either under water, on fire or being blown away – lucky? or very good planning?

Glad you enjoyed our beautiful country, and as others have mentioned – thanks for managing to still put together this fantastic resource -even with the jet lag!

What a great shot Kristi. I’m so glad you enjoyed your time in Australia. Sounds like you missed the floods, that’s a good thing. Did you get to hold a koala? I can just imagine you loving that experience.

Oh well, now to suss out which link I want to check out.

Great resources and great post! Thank you. 🙂
I just spent the better part of the last hour going through some of the posts you linked to and learned a lot.
I’m a new reader to this site but have subscribed and look forward to more.

Welcome back from vacation too btw.

I pleased you enjoyed Melbourne in Oz and had great weather. I had two trips to Melbourne and the weather was dreadful. My day at the Zoo surprise surprise was fine and sunny all day. Interesting articles on your blog, especially guide for link building, that was something new to work on. Thanks
