Words That Make You Feel Happy

In the movie Anger Management, Dr. Buddy gets his patients to say a particular word whenever they find themselves on the verge of an outburst of anger: Goosfraba, which according to the Urban Dictionary is a word Eskimos either use to calm their children down with, or use when having sex.

I have found that there are certain words that just make me smile when I say them.

I have found that there are certain words that just make me smile when I say them. Words such as Puffalump, which I use to describe the seed head of dandelions, but it was also a toy back in the 80’s or 90’s. And Popples, which was also a toy from the 80’s – a stuffed animal that you could turn into a ball.

What are some words that bring you instant joy just from saying them? The thing they describe does not have to be the source of the happy feeling, nor does it have to even be a real word. Just something that when you say it, it makes you 🙂

There are certain words, certain music, certain memories that can put you in a different and better frame of mind. I love how you’ve identified ‘words’ as a tool to shift a mood.

Here’s my favorite word – excuse the spelling:
SuperCalaFragalisticExpialaDocious. Oh, and another one…Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.

Both from great movies!

Thanks for the timely reminder.

scrum-dilly-icious

I have no idea where this word comes from. I’ve been saying it forever. Every time I eat something really yummy. I think it is a mix of: scrumptious, delightful, and delicious. May even be from some movie I saw in my childhood.
